以前取材を受けた『KANSAI　TIME　OUT』が発刊されて２ヶ月、続々と新しいお客さまがいらっしゃいます。
せっかくの記事なのでココにご紹介させていただきます♬。内容はBillyの事というよりは日本人の髪の毛と外国人の髪の毛の違いや、髪型のオーダーの違いについて。なので美容師の方々にも興味深い記事になっていると思います☆また、英語に興味がある方、お勉強がてらに読んでみてください。ちなみにワタシ達は文法の知識がまったく無いので読むのに１０分ほどかかりました(T_T)そして、外国人の方が読むとクスッと笑ってしまうようです(笑)国籍が違えば笑いのツボも違うようですねぇ。

Tokuno Yasu spent two years with Vidal sassoon and Toni and Guy in London before opening his Kobe salon with partner Simomura Rie.Foreigners now make up about 40 percent of its clientele.“Having discoverd Billy's,I now don't go anywhere else”,says Julie,a 45-year-old British housewife.“The most important thing is that I really like what Rie does with my hair.But it's also great value,I like the imformal attic salon and enjoy relaxing to the Eagles' Greatest Hits.Rie helps some of her Japanese clients get ready for special occasions such as　weddings and I find it fascinating to chat with her about traditional Japanese hair,make-up and Kimono.”
According to Tokuno,“It's a problem for foreigners when hairdressers can't speak English and don't understand the texture of their hair.We want to help them.”So what's differentabout foreigners 'hair?According to Shimomura,“Everything！At first,I didn't know anything about it,but now I've built up alot of experience .Peoole tell us what they want and we actually understand what they mean.”While Japanese men ask for colour,length,perms and eyebrow treatment,Western man tend to be more conservative,the most common request being for short back and sides with spikes on top.For Weastern woman, the issues are lack of volume and fizz.Japanese humidity can play havoc with hair and straight perms are popular.Non-Japanese Asian hair may look like Japanese hair,but the texture is a little oiliar,and it grows more like Western hair,according to Shimomura.Tokuno is experienced with Aflo-Calibbean hair,Shimomura does corn rows,and both partners can do dreadlocks.
Foreign woman are sometimes pleasantly surprised to find that treatments can be cheaper in Japan than at home.A straight perm at Billy's、for example,starts at just ￥8,400,and higlights at ￥４,０００．For both men and women ,a cut costs ￥3,150,with a 20 percent discount for foreigners.
